Solution
AI candidate screening calls
Hiring for sales and phone-based roles means hours of first calls that go nowhere. We build a screening step where every applicant does a short, realistic roleplay with an AI, and you only spend time on the people who can actually do the job.
ResultBuilt for sales development hiring: two roleplay calls, scored and logged
The problem
A CV tells you very little about how someone sounds on the phone, handles a brush-off or keeps a conversation going. So hiring managers spend hours on first-round calls, many of which are over in the first two minutes.
Those calls are also inconsistent. Different interviewers, different days, different questions. It's hard to compare candidates fairly, and good people get missed when the diary is full.
What we automate
Apply and consent in one form
Candidates give their details, agree to the call and get a short brief on what to expect.
A realistic roleplay call
A voice call with an AI playing a real scenario, such as a receptionist who needs convincing before putting the call through.
Scored the same way every time
Every call is scored against the criteria you set, so candidates are compared fairly.
Results in one ranked sheet
Scores and notes for every candidate land in a sheet, ready to sort.
Pass, hold or reject in a click
Your decision triggers the next email automatically, including an invite to a second-stage call.
People make the decisions
The calls and scores do the sifting. Your team decides who to hire.

Going deeper
What we learned building it
We built this for sales development hiring, with roleplay calls where candidates have to get past a receptionist and then hold a conversation with a managing director. Two things mattered most. The AI characters need to be realistic, with real objections, or the test is too easy. And candidates should always know they are speaking to an AI and what the call is for, which is also simply the fair thing to do.
Questions people ask
Is it fair to candidates?
Everyone gets the same scenario and is scored against the same criteria, which is fairer than first calls that vary by interviewer. People still make every hiring decision.
Do candidates know they are talking to an AI?
Yes. They agree to the call in the application form and are told what to expect beforehand.
What roles does it suit?
Anything where phone skills matter: sales development, account management, customer service and booking roles.
Can we use our own scenarios?
Yes. The roleplay is written around your product, your customers and the objections your team actually hears.
