Solution

Trade show lead capture and follow-up

Most trade show leads die in a pile of business cards. We build a lead app your team uses on the show floor, so every conversation is logged with a next step and the follow-up starts the same day.

The problem

A trade show is expensive: the stand, the travel, the days out of the office. Then the leads come home as business cards in a jacket pocket and notes in three different phones. Follow-ups go out a week later, if at all, and nobody can say which conversations actually mattered.

Walking the floor has the same problem in reverse. There are hundreds of exhibitors, a few hours, and no way to know which stands are worth stopping at until you've already walked past them.

We built our own app to solve this for the shows we walk, and now build the same thing for exhibitors and sales teams.

What we automate

01

Researched before you arrive

The exhibitor or visitor list is loaded and scored for fit, so the team knows which stands to prioritise before the doors open.

02

A route around the hall

Sort by stand number or hall to plan the walk instead of zig-zagging.

03

Log a conversation in seconds

Status, a quick note and the promised next step, on a phone, standing at the stand.

04

A next step and a date for every lead

Nothing comes home as just a name. Every lead has an owner and something to do next.

05

Talking points by sector

Short notes on what matters to each industry at the show, so conversations start in the right place.

06

One list after the show

Who you met, what you promised and what happens next, ready to follow up the same day or pushed into your CRM.

How it works

  1. Tell us the show

Which event, and whether you are exhibiting or walking the floor.

  2. We load and score the list

Exhibitors or expected visitors researched and prioritised for your offer.

  3. Your team gets the app

A simple phone app with a passcode, ready before the first day.

  4. Leads logged on the floor

Every conversation captured with a next step while it is still fresh.

  5. Follow-up starts the same day

The list goes into your CRM or a morning follow-up digest.

Who it's for

  • Exhibitors who want more from their stand
  • Sales teams who walk trade shows to prospect
  • Businesses that attend several shows a year
  • Teams whose show leads end up in a spreadsheet

Going deeper

Built on the show floor

We've used this approach ourselves at Solar & Storage Live and Grand Designs Live at the NEC, and the Responsible Packaging Expo at ExCeL, working through hundreds of exhibitors over a few days. The lessons are baked in: keep logging to a few taps, sort by where people physically are, and never let a lead come home without a next step.

If you want the leads to flow straight into a sales system afterwards, see custom CRM development and lead response automation.

Questions people ask

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It is a web app built for phones first, so the team uses it standing at a stand without installing anything.

Can it push leads into our CRM?

Yes. Leads can go into the CRM you already use, or into a simple follow-up list and morning digest if you do not have one.

Is it for exhibitors or for people walking the floor?

Both. Exhibitors use it to capture visitors to the stand. Sales teams use it to plan and log a walk around the hall.

How far ahead do we need to start?

The sooner the better, because the exhibitor list needs researching before the show. Get in touch as soon as you know which event.
